Repair a Losmandy Gemini Goto Motor

This is a burned Losmandy G11 Gemini goto motor during my repair. The original electrolitic burn for a balancing problem. At first must be removed the encoder with a de-solder station.

Inside the motor encoder. It's important to handle with care the encoder plastic ring, that must be removed from the motor shaft.

The motor opened. It's important to pay attention removing the motor back plate, it's easy to damage the brush.

I replaced the damaged electrolitic with a same value tantal and glued on the rotor with a cyanoacrylate glue.

The tantal condensators should be all of the same size to minimize unbalancing of the rotor. It's not a simple task, but work great!
